Meat + Sherry – An Evening with XECO Wines

Sherry is cool again! We’ve teamed up with the ladies at XECO Wines to put together an epic evening of sherry and delicious British cured meats. XECO is the brain-child of three 30-something ‘fino fiends’ who have long shared a love of fine sherry – and a frustration that this love wasn’t shared by friends. In their quest to bring sherry to the masses, they teamed up with a magnificent Spanish sherry house (‘bodega’) that has been producing sherry wines since 1876. So, although the name may be new, the wines have a long and distinguished lineage.
This special evening will be hosted by Cannon & Cannon’s Joe Corneille and Alexa Keymer of XECO, who will be guiding you through a range of exciting flavour combinations. Expect to experience sherry in a whole new way, with unique cocktails which are perfectly paired with artisanal British cured meat. This will be an informal evening, in which you will learn about the provenance of a range of intriguing products, and hear the wonderful stories behind the cured meats we source from the length and breadth of the UK.
After the pairing we have on offer some very tasty platters of meat, cheese, pickles and breads/crackers, and a selection of further cocktails, wines and beers are available for those who wish to extend the evening.
