Happy Birthday to us!!

Today is November the 1st and you might not be aware of this, but today is also our birthday.

Yes, eight years have passed since the birth of the cured meat baby that is Cannon & Cannon. Eight years since we first set up our stall at Borough Market and set alight to a dream to bring British Charcuterie to the masses. Eight years carrying a torch, stumbling at first before slowly gathering momentum, building up strength, speed and leaping across this island of ours. Eight long years looking for the very best in handcrafted hams, salami, spreads and meat snacks – all for your delectation.

It’s been quite a journey and if we were to account for the length of time that it takes to cure meats, in real terms, we have probably shifted over 25237 years worth of produce.

In other words, we’ve come a long, long way together.

To celebrate, we shall be cracking open a bottle or two this Friday and presenting some morsels to eat from our new retail range over C&C HQ. We might even head out into Bermondsey. Although we can’t get too carried away, as an all important rugby game in Yokohama is happening on Saturday morning.
