Move over Maltby Street Market. See ya later historic Shad Thames. And goodbye Druid Street – with all your loud, beery shenanigans.
Hello Apollo Business Park!
OK, we know that Bermondsey has plenty of food and drink hotspots these days, all jostling for space. But we like to think that our little corner of SE16 is really on the rise. Thanks to the efforts of Neal Yard Dairy, Natoora and The Butchery, there is plenty to tempt your conscientious shopper in the area and a relatively new kid on the block is now ready to help set things alight..
With chorizo, jerky, Nduja and many other cured meat delights.
Yes, from this Saturday, we are going to be rolling up the shutters at Cannon & Cannon, at our base off St James Road – adding even more choice for trend setters, galloping gourmands and true epicureans alike.
Not forgetting the odd group of tourists who have got lost looking for The Shard.
On display will be our usual repertoire of fine British charcuterie – including quality, handmade products from Tempus, Black Hand, Moons Green, Trealy Farm and Cornish Charcuterie – alongside our new retail range.
And Tim will be on standby, to share his expertise and knowledge and guide you through some tastings.
There will also be some unique treats on offer as well. But the world of British cured meat moves fast around here, so you’ll have to pop down to see what is really going on.
Almost as big as The Blue* in its heyday..
Hope to see you here.
The Cannon & Cannon Team
*A central marketplace just around the corner – named after a local pub ‘The Blue Anchor’ – which has been in the area for over two hundred and thirty years, don’t you know.
